Thailand’s everlasting strength of spirit and known characterization as the ‘Land of Smiles’, has made it a timeless favorite amongst travelers worldwide. It has a diverse range of landscapes throughout the country. Starting in the North with luscious green jungles, lakes, temples, and elephants. In contrast to down in the south where the tropical islands with white-sand beaches are a traveler’s favorite. Thailand is a destination great for budget travelers, ex-pats, and to everyone who wants to spend its holiday along the coastlines that belong to the world’s greatest honeymoon destinations. Thailand, or The Kingdom of Thailand as is its official name, is a big country in the middle of southeast Asia. The country is blessed with a tropical and warm climate and lots of islands with stunning beaches. Tourism is the country`s biggest and most important sector of the economy. Since they have had tourism for so many decades, it is a fairly easy country to travel in. Thailand is a parliamentary democracy, with a monarchy. The King is highly regarded and respected, and have a huge influence. Despite pressure from several European countries, Thailand is the only South-East Asian country that has never been colonized. Thailand is called “the land of smiles“, and really lives up to that expression as the people are extremely friendly and welcoming.

Patong Beach:

Patong is a beach resort town on the west coast of Phuket Island, facing the Andaman Sea in the southwest of Thailand. Its sandy, crescent beach is lined with cafes, restaurants and bars. The famously raucous nightlife scene features beer bars, go-go bars, nightclubs, massage parlors and cabarets that overflow into the street along neon-lit Bangla Road and in the Patong OTOP Shopping Paradise complex.

Pattaya:

Thailand is one the most popular countries in Asia and is famous for its delightful culture, stunning sandy beaches, Thai culinary delicacies and some wonderful tourist attractions. Tourists can experience the euphoria of Thailand in Pattaya. Renowned as one of the world’s top beach destinations, Pattaya has been luring adventure-seekers for decades with an intoxicating mix of eateries and shops, luxury resorts, wild parties and high-octane water sports. Pattaya is located on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand, just 150 kilometers from the capital – Bangkok. The beach city draws in hordes of tourists and expats from all over the world. You can choose to get lost in the natural beauty or get taken over by the allure of the cabaret stage. This region is famous for its varied nightlife, which gave it the name ‘the naughty sister of Bangkok.’ However, now there are a lot more attractions and activities for everyone. There are botanical gardens, golf courses, water sports, and museums. Other places of interest include the Pattaya Floating Market, Nong Nooch Village, Sanctuary of Truth, Mini Siam, Underwater World Pattaya and more.

Chiang Mai:

Chiang Mai City is culturally and socially the most significant city in northern Thailand. One of the main highlights of the city is that despite the flow of tourists and lot of expats living in the city, it is still culturally very Thai. Many of the things to do in Chiang Mai cater not just to tourists but the local Thai population also, and this becomes evident when checking out the places to eat here. Chiang Mai an ancient city that dates back to the 13th century when it was established as a new capital of the Lanna kingdom, Chang Mai still retains its historical remnants. With strong Buddhist traditions and over 300 temples, Chiang Mai is littered with sites of spiritual significance. Some of the more prominent Buddhist attractions of the city are Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, Wat Chiang Man, and Wat Phra Singh. For history buffs deciding on what to see in Chiang Mai must also include the old defensive wall and moat that was built and used to ward off foreign attacks between the 13th and 15th century. Chiang Mai is equally popular among tourists and religious pilgrims, making the city a popular destination.

Koh Samui:

Thailand’s second biggest island, Koh Samui is also one of its most popular holiday destinations. It is less crowded compared to the other islands, and though it has been through a lot of transformation since the 80s, it still retained everything idyllic about an island holiday. From stretches of gorgeous beaches and clean, cool ocean air to relaxing spa treatments and yummy seafood – Koh Samui has it all. The main beaches are Nathon, Laem Yai, Bophut, Chaweng, Samui South Coast and Lamai. The other prominent tourist attractions are Nathon (seafront settlement), Namtok Hin Lat (waterfall), Ban Lipa Yai (village with great fresh produce), ld House (200-year old Chinese house), the coral beds at Thong Takhia and Laem Set. There are also snake farm, butterfly garden, Big Buddha Temple, Bophut Elephant Camp, Grandmother and Grandfather Rocks and many more. The crystal-clear waters and stunning corals have brought an increasing number of divers to Koh Samui. It is also considered as one of the safest diving and snorkeling destinations in the world. The island is also great for shopping and dining. It has an exciting nightlife with plenty of beach clubs.
